A doctor from Tetovo hospital was badly beaten up by a patient today and had to be hospitalized in the Skopje Neurosurgery Clinic.

Healthcare Minister Venko Filipce confirmed the incident and said that the doctor is in stable condition and doesn’t have serious injuries. The incident occured at the dermatology department, where the patient demanded to be seen by a different doctor, in accordance with his appointment, but the doctor was absent. The patient then demanded that one of the doctors gives him a written receipt that his colleague was absent, and when he refused, began punching him.

The doctor fell unconscious and was immediately taken to Skopje.
