A public session will take place in the State Election Commission (SEC) on Friday, at which a drawing of lots will determine the number for the candidates at the ballot for the coming presidential elections. The three presidential candidates are Stevo Pendarovski, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova and Blerim Reka. They are officially candidates running for president after the State Election Commission confirmed Thursday the regularity of their applications.

Pendarovski, a candidate from SDSM and the coalition, Siljanovska from VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition and Reka, supported by the Alliance for Albanians and the Besa movement, until April 1, when the campaign for the presidential elections kicks off, should refrain from public appearances, statements, everything which would mean a campaign.

The presidential campaign begins on April 1 and will last until April 19, followed by the election silence. The first election round for the sixth presidential election is scheduled for April 21 and the second for May 5.
