More than 100 citizens of Macedonia are forced to turn to the public and beg for money to cover basic medical needs every year, the opposition VMRO-DPMNE party estimates.

According to the party press release, the Healthcare Fund is not capable to cover the needs of the citizens, whether for immediate surgeries or treatment abroad, but also for basic needs such as insulin. The public is flooded with calls on the social media, where citizens post their medical needs and bank accounts or phone numbers where you can call and donate 100 denars.

Under SDS and DUI, the people are left to fend for themselves. Clinics are constantly facing shortages of necessary medicine, and the patients are left to suffer, VMRO-DPMNE said in a statement.
