The European Commission (EC) is refraining from commenting on the Racket case and the arrest and detention of the Special Public Prosecution (SPO) head, Katica Janeva, MIA’s Brussels correspondent reports.

However, the European Commission emphasized that they expect the Macedonian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.

We are commenting on ongoing investigations, the EU recalls the importance of continuing the fight against high-level corruption and establishing legal accountability for any crime, the European Commission told MIA briefly.
