Oliver Derkovski, President of the State Electoral Commission (SEC), strongly condemned the statement of the ruling majority candidate Stevo Pendarovski, who encouraged one of his supporters to attack the SEC.
The man from Gostivar was invited to speak by Pendarovski. He complained that he was left out of the electoral registry and said “I will go there” – meaning the SEC – and Pendarovski encouraged him to do it. The man then added, “I will go there with a gun!”. This prompted applause from the other SDSM party supporters, while Pendarovski let the shocking threat stand unanswered.
Pendarovski tells the man to come here, to us. How are we supposed to take this statement? Presidential candidates must be careful about what they say during their rallies, Derkovski said.
