Elementary school students will have to continue to wear face masks during classes. At today’s session, the Government failed to make the expected decision to lift the mask mandate, although the Commission for Infectious Diseases recommended it more than a week ago.
The Government says that during the day there was no meeting of the General Coordination Crisis HQ, at which this recommendation should be considered and if it gets the green light, then to be considered at a government session. So far there is no announcement when that could happen.
The Commission for Infectious Diseases recommended that the mask mandate be lifted for children from first to ninth grade, after it became clear that the situation with the epidemic is calming down, ie that the last wave of Covid-19 has passed.
