A fire is threatening the houses in the village of Bardovci, north of Skopje. A number of firefighting units are in the village, and the citizens are also working to protect their homes. Some have reportedly refused to evacuate.
The fire is spreading amid the dried out grass and shrubs. Several houses are reportedly already on fire. Windy conditions are contributing to the spread of the fire.
