Alternative party leader Afrim Gashi today strongly indicated that he is ready to join Zoran Zaev’s coalition. The two began their meeting at the Parliament club in Skopje.

We would like to form a Government that will work until the end of the term of the Parliament, until 2024, and will open the EU accession talks, achieve significant progress and have us either join the EU or come near the end of the talks, Gashi said.

Zaev has only 59 or 60 seats in the Parliament, and desperately needs Gashi’s four votes. For this, he seems ready to give Gashi two important departments and reportedly dozens of mid level positions in the public service and hundreds of jobs.
Gashi refusded to discuss his expectations from the talks in terms of the division of spoils in the Government.
