After the public teachers, public administration workers and the post officer workers, now private practice doctors are also planning to go on strike. Their ZPLM union said that the doctors will protest on April 7th, at noon, in front of the Healthcare Ministry, to demand an increase in salaries.

We face enormous price hikes, we have to pay a higher minimum wage to our employees, electricity prices are up. We need to have our pays increased, said ZPLM President Liljana Colakova – Dervisova.

The union represents private practice general practitioners, who are paid by the number of patients who enroll in their practice.
