The protocol for Macedonia’s accession to NATO will be submitted and will be reviewed by the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Greek Parliament on Thursday. Greek lawmakers will debate the accession protocol in a plenary session on Friday, followed by a vote, Parliament Speaker Nikos Voutsis said in a statement on Tuesday, MIA’s Athens correspondent reports.
It is envisaged that the Committee and the plenary session last one day.
In order to pass the protocol, 151 votes are needed, and all MPs who voted for the ratification of the Prespa Agreement are expected to support NATO membership.
