The problem can be solved in six days, and the seventh we will rest.
This was the quick recipe of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi, which not so long ago convinced us that the misunderstandings with Bulgaria could be resolved so quickly for the final start of Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations. For people who know about the dispute over a century old, this was a pure illusion, which only reflected Grubi’s elementary ignorance of the matter.
Now, just a month or two after that more comical than unfortunate statement, Grubi is turning a new page. From the statement issued by his office after yesterday’s meeting with the US Ambassador to Skopje, Kate Mary Byrnes, it can be seen that the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister asked for help in overcoming the dispute with Bulgaria.
They also exchanged views on the open dispute with the Republic of Bulgaria. On this occasion, Grubi stressed the need for even greater American and European assistance when it comes to the dispute between Skopje and Sofia, as well as the need for the Government to maintain the reform course, the statement said.
So, how does Grubi suddenly ask for help from our strategic partner and the EU? And for what? Should they only put pressure on Sofia or should they resolve the main historical and identity issues, which were imposed by the signing of Zoran Zaev on the completely asymmetric Agreement on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation? Wasn’t the work that simple, analyzes “Pressing TV”.
While we wait for answers to the questions, in the meantime we will have fun with other nonsense of Grubi, which reflects his antilogy, but above all the low political level of communication with the Albanian part of the electorate.
