There is absolutely optimism for negotiations and for receiving a positive signal at the December EU summit to start negotiations for us and Albania in the first months of next year, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi, said on Thursday.

We are working, the answers to their requests have already been sent and we can discuss those answers with the new Government in neighboring Bulgaria and I hope that we will approach constructively and resolve all open issues because we expect a constructive approach from our Bulgarian colleagues, said Grubi.

Asked how he interpreted yesterday’s message from Bulgaria that their position would not change, Grubi reiterated that they hope for a constructive approach from the Bulgarian side.
