The Interior Ministry informed that BESA member of Parliament Kastriot Rexhepi appeared in a police station today to inform the police that he is not missing.
This comes after his fellow party members launched a search for him yesterday, when he didn’t show up for the scheduled vote of no confidence in the Zaev Government, where he was supposed to be the decisive 61st vote. Due to the nature of his disappearance, the opposition feared that Rexhepi has been kidnapped by the Zaev regime, in an attempt to sabotage the vote of no confidence.
The Ministry said that Rexhepi came to the police station “on his own free will” and said that the missing person report filed for him should be ignored because he is not missing. “He said that he and his family went to a friend to protect himself from publicity”, the Interior Ministry claims.
In a Facebook message, Rexhepi said that he will hold a press conference on Monday.
