Public prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski has authorized former SPO prosecutor Lence Ristova to handle the “Talir 2” case.
The “Talir 2” trial is set to begin tomorrow after the previous hearing was adjourned due to the absence of the defendants’ lawyers. Nikola Gruevski and Kiril Bozinovski are defendants in the “Talir 2” case, who allowed the legal entity DG Beton AD Skopje to build the headquarters of the VMRO-DPMNE party.
Although the legal entity DG Beton AD Skopje was subject to the limitations of the Law on Financing of Political Parties, the defendants agreed to disproportionate gain to the political party VMRO-DPMNE in respect of the obligations of the legal entity DG Beton AD Skopje.
In this way, and contrary to the legal regulations, the defendants obtained significant gain for the political party VMRO-DPMNE in the amount of 507,164,424.00 denars, or 8,246,576 euros.
