State Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski told MIA that the prosecution is ready and has the capacity to handle all SPO cases and hopes that the process will proceed quickly. He considers that after taking over the cases and the possible adoption of the Law on Public Prosecutor’s Office, it will be decided which prosecutors will handle the cases and it is not excluded that the current prosecutors will handle the cases.

The Council of Public Prosecutors, as Joveski points out, should decide after September 15 on the status of public prosecutors and their return to their prosecution offices, given that the posts of the public prosecutor in those prosecutions are on hold.

If a new Law on the Public Prosecutor’s Office is adopted, it will certainly have provisions on their status. After taking over the cases and possibly passing the law, it will be decided which prosecutors will handle the cases, not excluding the possibility of the current prosecutors handling the cases, public prosecutor Joveski told MIA.
