The leader of the Besa Movement party, Bilal Kasami, commented on the latest political developments in the country in an interview with TV 21’s “10 Minutes” show.
He said the government no longer had credibility and that the Special Prosecutor’s Office scandal was the biggest failure and disappointment for Macedonian citizens, and that would cost the country’s further aspirations on its path to the EU and NATO.
Unfortunately, in the case of Macedonia, Murphy’s laws apply. When you think that it can’t be worse these people in power surprise you with something worse. Unfortunately, the arrest of Katica Janeva is just the tip of the iceberg from a huge scandal that has happened to this government. The government that you expect to be hopeful has turned out to be the biggest failure and disappointment of the Macedonian citizens, said Kasami.
BESA leader Kasami said it was now time for early parliamentary elections, that citizens had lost faith in this government.
If now is not the time for early parliamentary elections, then I do not know when it was more than necessary to organize early elections in Macedonia. At a time when citizens have lost the last hope that this government can lead the integration process, I think Prime Minister Zaev should muster up the courage and call early elections. Because the citizens of Macedonia really need a new elite of politicians and statesmen who will work for the future of Euro-Atlantic Macedonia, stated Besa Movement leader Bilal Kasami.
