Former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva remains in jail after a pre-trial judge refused the bail offer and prosecutor Vilma Ruskovska gave a negative opinion.

Due to the interest of multiple media, we inform the public that, the pre-trial judge acting upon K.J. defense motion to get her out on bail received a negative opinion by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for the prosecution of organized crime and corruption in relation to the motion. After reviewing and evaluating the motion and the opinion of the competent prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial judge ruled that the motion to release the accused on bail was rejected as inadmissible and the motion for precautionary measures was rejected as unfounded, the Skopje Basic Criminal Court has said.
