After the release from the police, Albanian news agency INA (Ilirya News Agency) made an interview with one of the four Albanians who caused Monday a huge scandal with the placement of a large Albanian flag over Tsar Samoil’s fortress in Ohrid, “Lider” reported.

Police have come out with official information that it’s about a folk group, but the video shows that it’s not just about its members, but an Albanian group called “Arbreshi”, which aims to create Greater Albania.

This extremist group, was in Ohrid and Struga, to celebrate the anniversary of some battles of Skanderbeg, and as its leader Gjergj Prekoçaj says, they did this because they are in their own country and Ohrid is an Albanian city.

The Lord has given us these territories and will be ours and we will never leave them, Prekoçaj told INA.

Ohrid’s visit by this extremist group is between the two rounds of local and presidential elections in the city.

As speculated in the public, they came to provide support to local Albanians in Ohrid for the government’s candidate, Kostadin Georgievski, who promises to legalize the vast minaret built in the city in exchange for Albanian votes.
