Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski met Tuesday with Philippe Donckel, non-resident Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Macedonia, who was joined by Petar Arsovski, honorary consul of Luxembourg in Macedonia.

The meeting reaffirmed Macedonia’s good friendly relations with Luxembourg and the joint commitment to enhance cooperation at all levels.

At the same time, a greeting was conveyed to Prime Minister Kovacevski by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bethel and full support for the European integration of the Republic of Macedonia.

It is assessed that our country in practice applies European values, which was shown by the implementation of policies in line with the European Union, which was set in relation to the situation in Ukraine.

It is also considered that the country has made great progress in the reform processes in a short time, which is respected and due to which, as it was announced, the strong support for the soon opening of the negotiations of the Republic of Macedonia with the EU continues.

It was jointly concluded that the beginning of negotiations between Macedonia and Albania with the European Union is in function of the stability of the Western Balkans and that now is the time for that.

Prime Minister Kovacevski thanked for the great support from Luxembourg and for the sincere friendship with Macedonia that is intensifying.
