Special prosecutors should immediately assume responsibility and resign, and if they do not resign, then Ljubomir Jovevski should immediately suspend and dismiss them, lawyer Toni Menkinoski said Wednesday on TV Alfa’s “Sto ne e jasno” show, debating on the enormous fees given to SPO prosecutors.

Fees should have been only 35% of the amount of salary they received under the SPO law, the prosecution law. The salary of special prosecutor Katica Janeva by law is at most 10% lower than the salary of the state public prosecutor, and the salary of other prosecutors is at the level of public prosecutors of organized crime. Katica’s maximum salary could have been 90,000 with all bonuses and the salary of the others – 76,000. This area is legally covered, and this is sadistic behavior. Here there was a conscious violation of the law, they should resign immediately and return the money, said Menkinoski.
