Elementary school students should no longer be required to wear masks in schools, but the mandate is still in place for teachers and school staff, the Commission for Infectious Diseases has recommended.
In line with the new risk assessment algorithm, we made three recommendations. The first is that masks should not be mandatory for primary school students. We release the students from the mandate to wear masks in schools, the mandate is still in place for the teachers and the technical staff, said Dr. Aleksandar Petlickovski, President of the Commission for Infectious Diseases.
He also said that based on the new risk assessment algorithm, they believe that the capacity of cinemas, theaters and other indoor venues can be increased from 50 to 75 percent.
The President of the Commission said that they will recommend to the Government to lift the certificate mandate in the open area of bars and restaurants.
