Lawyer Elenko Milanov, who defends former Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski in the April 2017 trial, said that the testimonies today confirm that Veljanoski was right in the way he was conducint the work of the Parliament. Veljanoski dismissed the session for the day when the SDSM and DUI parties held an irregular vote for a new Speaker, provoking the crowd of protesters outside to storm the building.

The testimonies from Artan Grubi and Xhevad Ademi confirmed what Trajko Veljanoski was saying. He did not violate the rules when he allowed member of Parliament Zekirija Ibraimi to speak, said Milanov. Ibraimi performed the Albanian anthem which greatly provoked the protesters, who saw the creation of the SDSM – DUI coalition, and the numerous concessions to neighboring countries Zaev pledged to accept, as part of the undermining of the Macedonian nation state.
