The people showed a red card to the Zaev coalition, and now they are trying to cling to power without elections, said VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Vladimir Misajlovski, after Zoran Zaev gathered his coalition partners and had them declare their opposition to new elections. Some of them, especially the biggest coalition partner DUI, also came out against Zaev’s announced resignation.
They are trying to buy time, a few days at a time, but that will negatively affect their standing. DUI insist to remain in the Government – well what else are they supposed to say? The smaller coalition partners have a few seats as directors in some public institutions, and they also want to cling on. Our message to them is to pack their bags, they are going in the opposition, Misajlovski said.
VMRO announced that it is working to form a new majority in Parliament that will prepare early general elections, which should reflect the deep crisis in SDSM and their collapse in the elections.
