Nearly half of all Macedonians are smokers

A report by the Institute of Public Health shows that 45.5 percent of all people in Macedonia are smokers.

This puts Macedonia among the countries with highest share of smokers in their population. Only five percent of all polled said that they successfully managed to give up smoking in the past several years,which is also an exceptionally poor indicator.
