It is a great honor for me and I am very grateful because such big names sitting on the board of friends that I will mention a few, and that is the Prime Minister of Belgium, that is the former Secretary General of NATO – Javier Solana, that is the President at the EP, or Barnier who is the chief negotiator for Brexit, etc. To be selected in a really prestigious selection of 40 most influential people after 40 years in Europe, I really think that says enough and I would not like to talk too much about myself. It is good when others speak, said Aleksandar Nikoloski, MP and vice president of VMRO-DPMNE told TV Alfa.

Nikoloski added that the fact that he was chosen as one of the 40 most influential people in Europe under the age of 40 is a confirmation for VMRO-DPMNE that he is on the right path, but also for Macedonia.

What makes me especially proud is the part where the opinion of the friends of Europe about me, who write it themselves, so you cannot write an opinion about yourself, but it is written by those who make the choice that it is a human being who fights corruption. I from the opposition can only do what I do, and that is to be loud and present affairs in public. I have been doing this continuously for the past four years. I have faced many threats and pressures not to do so, but I will continue to do so. And after the change of government that will happen this year after the early parliamentary elections and we will actively fight with all measures, ie all those who committed crime and corruption will be held accountable, said Nikoloski.

Nikoloski pointed out that the higher the level of reforms and the stronger the fight against organized crime and corruption, as well as the establishment of a functioning rule of law system, the better Macedonia’s chances will improve.
