The Omicron strain of the coronavirus still hasn’t been identified in Macedonia, even as it is spreading across the world. So far, the fast spreading but relatively mild mutation has been identified in patients in 77 countries across the world.

Macedonia is preparing for the new strain with the purchase of 500,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines, which will include 10,000 doses meant for children aged 5 to 12.
