Children who have not received the MMR and other vaccines will not be allowed to enroll in kindergarten or the first grade as of the next school year, the Healthcare Ministry ordered.
Providing an immunization record will be mandatory for all children who want to enroll in kindergarten or elementary school.
The Government was hard pressed to improve immunization statistics after a series of PR disasters initiated by Healthcare Minister Venko Filipce seriously eroded public trust in vaccinations.
