Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met Tuesday with Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Majlinda Bregu.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osmani and Bregu voiced expectation for sooner approval of Macedonia’s negotiating framework, holding the first Intergovernmental Conference, which will mark the beginning of the negotiation process for EU membership.
The talks focused on regional cooperation and activities within the Regional Cooperation Council – the Economic Investment Plan for the Western Balkans, the socio-economic transformation of the region of Southeast Europe, the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, and other topics that contribute to fruitful and rich regional cooperation.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the process of rounding off the European future of the Western Balkan countries and the effects of the war on regional cooperation in our region and beyond.
