Macedonia and Bulgaria’s joint historical commission has made some progress lately and it’s in Macedonia’s national interest to let historians continue talking about history, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani told a news conference Tuesday.
The Commission for Historical Issues held a meeting in Sofia and, according to the information from the members of the Commission, it was a constructive meeting in which certain positive steps were taken. I cannot say decisions or solutions, but positive steps in terms of how to continue the activities further, which is a good signal that this positive climate that is being created between the two governments is reflected there, Osmani said.
