The President of the country Stevo Pendarovski thinks that it will be very difficult to get 61 votes in the Parliament for it to dissolve and hold early elections.

Commenting on the request of the leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski for early elections, Pendarovski said Thursday on the “Top Tema” show on Telma TV that the country lacks a period without elections.

If there are 61 votes, we will hold elections. Of course, a democratically made decision should be respected. But, it is a fact that we had 5-6 election cycles in seven / eight years ago and it is a fact that the country lacks a period without elections, in which we should see what the new people in the new government after the New Year can contribute, said Pendarovski.

In the direction of democratization of the intra-party processes, Pendarovski thinks that it is good to have at least half-open electoral lists.
