President Stevo Pendarovski said Friday he refrains from speculating whether Parliament will reconvene if Spain ratifies Macedonia’s NATO accession protocol. This is a technical, and not a political issue, Pendarovski underlined.

I suggest that we do not go into further legal implications of who is a greater lawyer and who is a greater legal expert. I suggest if that situation comes up, my prediction is that it won’t happen, hopefully it happens, so we will talk about a nice thing – whether Parliament will reconvene for the ratification, and even if not, it important is that by that time 29 NATO member states will have already said yes. It will only be a technical issue whether it happens this day or next week, which I don’t think is a big political issue, much less a political problem, President Pendarovski said.
