The state has sufficient commodity reserves to meet the needs of citizens, but a problem may arise if the crisis in Ukraine lasts longer and then intervention will be needed, said President Stevo Pendarovski in an interview with the “Morning Briefing” show.

He stressed that this was also discussed at yesterday’s Security Council, along with issues related to security aspects.

The assessments refer to the real facts presented by the Prime Minister. We are full in commodity reserves. The problem will be if the Ukraine crisis lasts longer. Then we will have to make intervention imports. Serbia has decided not to export vital resources. The prices on the stock exchanges have affected not only oil prices, but also wheat prices, said Pendarovski.
