An SDSM supporter made a shocking threat to shoot up the State Electoral Commission (SEC), during a rally of their presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski in Gostivar.

It was another bizarre SDSM rally moment, owed to the party’s decision to allow rally goers to speak directly to the candidate. The man complained that he has been left out of the voting registry – a common issue after SDSM insisted on strict purging of the registry in 2016.

How can the SEC remove living people from the voting lists? I’ve been voting for 30 years, and they removed me from the list, I can’t vote for you. There are many other people in Gostivar who have been removed. Please do something, or I will go there myself, the man said.

To this, Pendarovski encouraged him to do just that. “You should go to them”, Pendarovski says twice.

“I will go there with a gun! I’m telling you, I will”, the man replied.

Pendarovski did not try to discourage the man, but simply turned away, while many in the crowd applauded the horrific threat.
