In an interview with the “Panorama” show on the Bulgarian National Television, Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov also referred to the dispute with Macedonia.

Asked if there is a concession in the position of Bulgaria regarding Macedonia, Petkov said that it is not the case.

What I have made very clear as a mandate in the next steps with the Republic of Macedonia is that we will upgrade the Bulgarian position with additional working groups on economy, infrastructure, culture, measures and policies for entry and assistance. Which means we are setting a deadline of 6 months and I have clearly stated this deadline, said the Bulgarian Prime Minister.
