Macedonian Orthodox Church Bishop Pimen, who was a prominent support of Zoran Zaev and his Colored Revolution, was the first to criticize his comments revealed thanks to a prank by Russian comedians Vovan and Lexus.
In the recording, Zaev makes a number of shocking comments, such as expressing readiness to rig the September 2018 referendum, and to give a bribe of 100.000 EUR to Patriarch Bartholomew. Bishop Pimen mocked the lack of accountability in Zaev’s Government, even after the promised “operation broom” fell way below expectations, and also the large retinue of Zaev’s advisers.
They are not affected by the broom, they show no guilty conscience. Maybe we should hire advisers to help the advisers, Pimen wrote on his Facebook account.
The Macedonian Orthodox Church is involved in Byzantine negotiations over its declared independence with the Serbian church as the churches of Greece, Bulgaria, Russia and the Ecumenical Patriarch act as intermediaries.
