Pope Francis concluded his visit to Macedonia with a series meetings with young faithful from various religions and with the Catholic clergy in the country. During his meeting with the youth, Pope Francis urged them to keep dreaming.

If a young person doesn’t dream, he is filled with emptiness and hopelessness. That is a road that should be avoided. The daily personal and societal problems should not discourage you. Try to focus on your biggest dreams, the Pontiff told his young visitors in the Sacred Heart of Jesus church in Skopje.

Speaking to the adherents of various religions, Pope Francis acknowledged the fractured nature of the world.

As Christians we should not be separated one from another, and we should live with out friends and neighbors like apostles, preached the Pope.

Evoking Skopje’s native daughter Mother Teresa, Pope Francis urged the young men and women to discard needless possessions and initiatives which don’t excite or motivate them.

In a full day of events, Pope Francis met with the Macedonian national and spiritual leadership, and held a sermon on Skopje’s central Macedonia Square. He visited the Mother Teresa memorial house, built at the site of the old Sacred Heart church, where the saint is said to have had one of her visions prompting her to dedicate her life to the service of the poor.
