Alliance of Albanians leader Ziadin Sela said that the Bulgarian position on Macedonia is unacceptable in the 21st century, and that this country should accept that it has a Macedonian minority.

Considering what Bulgaria is asking for, we need to consider that this is not becoming an EU member state. True, there are many EU member states who prevent their neighbors from achieving international recognition, which is an issue out of the early 20 century. I believe in the right of every citizen on Earth to self-determination. I think that neighbors need to recognize each other and need to recognize their minorities, Sela said during a TV24 interview.

In an earlier statement, Sela said that Bulgaria is clearly displaying territorial claims toward Macedonia, given the list of demands it put before the Zaev regime.
