Healthcare Minister Venko Filipce said that coronavirus vaccines should be made available in the early months of 2021, but that it is still not clear when and to what extent. Filipce said that he expects about 400,000 doses, delivered at once or in stages.

We sent a letter to Covax (WHO) and we are awaiting a response. I don’t think they themselves know for sure yet, because the principle of their mechanism is to distribute to all countries in a given region who applied. We expect the delivery in March, but we can’t be sure, Filipce said.

The Minister added that the first to receive the vaccine will be healthcare workers, the army and the police, public officials, public transportation workers and chronically ill.
