In an hour Zaev gave away the phone numbers of world leaders, gossipped about other diplomatic services, mocked Putin and the Russian intelligence, gave up Merkel’s and Macron’s strategic plans about the Balkans, bought the story that Petro Porosenko is the descendant of Alexander the Great and offered 100.000 EUR as bribe to Patriarch Bartholomew. Give the guy a Nobel prize, is a typical Twitter comment after the leaking of the prank call which Russian comedians Vovan and Lexus made with Zoran Zaev.
Social media are buzzing with the latest revelations about Zaev, which blur the line between his official positions and comments, and the recently established parody Twitter account @OficialZaev.
Audio on youtub is montaged from rusian agents on computation for stop europian proces for our contry. I am sorry until sky but not is evidense of crimea in audio I will not undernest resign, the “Zaev international official fan” Twitter account wrote in response to the leak.
Responses from others were in the vein of the traditional Balkan saying which roughly translates as “since you incapable of getting embarrassed, I’m embarrassed for you”.
I already asked him to stop speaking English. Now I beg him, STOP SPEAKING AT ALL, former Culture Minister Ganka Samoilovska Cvetanova captured this mood in a tweet.
“NATO, trust Zoki to protect your secrets like he protects your phone numbers”, Twitter users remarked, after Zaev is revealed easily giving away personal phone numbers of American diplomats and regional leaders to the two Russian jokers, who likely used the numbers in their future exploits. Others asked if Zaev’s conversation with the newly elected Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mistorakis even happened, while others still asked who is the real comedian here – Vova and Lexus, or Zaev?
