M-NAV’s Supervisory Board has approved the Government’s proposal to appoint Hekuran Asani and Milan Korakj as directors, succeeding outgoing directors Fahrudin Hamidi and Ljube Stamenkovski, according to confirmation from M-NAV to MIA.

The Supervisory Board is set to reconvene on Monday to finalize the session minutes. Subsequently, the decision and relevant documentation will be forwarded to the Central Registry for the registration of Asani and Korakj as the new directors. The entire process is expected to be completed by the end of next week.

The decision to replace the current directors follows the attack on M-NAV staff on January 4. The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje announced on Thursday that all eight suspects involved in the January 4 attack on M-NAV have been detained. In connection with the M-NAV incident, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation against the eight individuals on suspicion of the criminal offense of threatening air traffic security.
