Tomislav Tuntev, the director general of the Civil Aviation Agency, assured that the incident involving the attack on national air navigation service provider M-NAV staff didn’t compromise air traffic safety. He mentioned the professionalism of air traffic controllers and their dedication to upholding safe skies.

In response to recent events, Tuntev confirmed that the Civil Aviation Agency was conducting an urgent audit to assess the integrity of safety and security systems. Once completed, necessary actions would be taken, and accountability would be determined.

Previously, the Ministry of Interior reported the interrogation of four individuals related to the attack and ongoing efforts to locate another four connected to the incident. An earlier statement from the Ministry highlighted an assault on M-NAV employees by an individual identified as B.N. and several unidentified persons.

Additionally, the government announced plans to address the situation at M-NAV during its session on January 9, discussing potential measures such as the dismissal of all managers and members of the management board.
