The government for the first time published a list of 15 Macedonian citizens who took part in paramilitary formations in Syria and the “Islamic State” (ISIS). They have been financially sanctioned for participating in the war in Syria and financing others to take part in the war.
The names of 15 men aged around 30 who left Macedonia to join the Islamic State militant group in the war in Syria have appeared for the first time on a list published by the Macedonian government in the Official Gazette and on the website of The Financial Intelligence Administration.
They have been financially punished by the Government’s decision for taking part in the 11-year war in Syria and providing money for others to participate in the war as part of ISIS. We are talking about people who are not in the country and they have already conducted an investigation into them and an international warrant has been issued.
