Purging the judiciary, fight against corruption, fight against fake news and hate speech and environmental protection are among the 10 priorities of the initiative for European standards at home called “Action 21”, which was presented Monday to the public by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

The Prime Minister told a press conference that regardless of the fact that the European Union sent a bad signal, the country remains committed to European reforms that will continue with stronger intensity next year.

We remain committed to the same strategic track, there is no deviation from the strategic goals that are set unanimously – fostering good neighborly relations, active participation in NATO and EU membership. There will be no delay in internal reforms. We will dedicate ourselves to building European standards, said Zaev.

Regarding the purging of the judiciary, he said that the model is already in the final stage and that the whole process will go gradually and in stages. The finances of the judges will also be checked.

As to the fight against corruption, he pointed out that the commitments of the Government have already been confirmed with the requested responsibilities of civil servants, and announced a commitment to greater transparency of the municipalities. In the area of environmental protection, he announced that 100 million denars have been allocated for the replacement of non-ecological heating systems and renewal of urban greenery.
