During Tuesday visit of the high-ranking Greek delegation, Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska had a bilateral meeting with the Greek Minister of National Defense Evangelos Apostolakis. After the signing of the defense cooperation agreement, Sekerinska and Apostolakis visited the military orchestras of the two countries, preparing for a joint concert of five armies.
It is a concert called “Together we stand”, where the military orchestra of the Macedonian Army will perform together with the orchestras of Greece, the United States, the United Kingdom and Slovenia.
The concert is part of the NATO Week program, which the Ministry of Defense organizes on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Alliance, and will be held Thursday at the House of the Army in Skopje.
Macedonia’s military orchestra was supposed to play the Macedonian and Greek anthem during the welcoming ceremony of Alexis Tsipras outside the government’s building, but that did not happen.
According to the government, the orchestra was prepared for Tuesday’s historic event, but following the information that the plane of the Greek Prime Minister would be late, the performance was canceled and the whole ceremony, such as military honors, flowers, etc., was shortened.
