A new hearing in the TNT case will be held today. A fierce reaction is expected from the defense of the defendants after yesterday lawyer Merjan Dauti publicly stated that the prosecutor Burim Rustemi offered him a settlement for one of the defendants, ie a conditional sentence if he confesses to the crime. Rustemi promised to settle things with the court to get the lowest sentence.

Dauti refused, followed by threats from Rustemi that he would ask for no evidence to be accepted because he could not allow the proceedings to continue and had to be completed by the end of 2021 and that the prosecution’s proposal would be fully accepted by the court. The question is where is the equality of means when the prosecution and the court agree on what should happen at the hearing, explains Dauti.
