Before leaving the country, US Ambassador Jess Baily paid a farewell visit to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on Monday.

At the meeting, Zaev noted that “the support of the US, as a strategic partner of Macedonia, was of great importance in the processes of our membership into the EU and NATO”, and Ambassador Baily expressed satisfaction that during his term, Macedonia settled the dispute with Greece.

Zaev gave Baily a photograph with a dedication from one of their numerous mutual meetings as a token, as the Government said, of remembrance of the excellent cooperation.

On my behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the citizens of our country, I thanked US Ambassador Jess Baily for his active contribution during his term, Zaev wrote on Facebook among other things.
