The government of SDSM and DUI behind the scenes is negotiating something with Bulgaria and at no point is the Parliament informed. Unlike Macedonia, in Bulgaria all relevant entities know and are informed, including the Bulgarian Parliament, said VMRO-DPMNE.

If the government plans to bring the situation to an end and then tell the public what they agreed on, then they are making a catastrophic mistake. Zaev’s government in 2017 was warned about the consequences of the harmful agreement and unfortunately those consequences are now a burden on the European integration path. Therefore, VMRO-DPMNE requests the Parliament to be informed about the course of the negotiations in time, including the draft documents circulating on Skopje-Sofia relation in order to warn and build a joint strategy, reads the party’s statement.

That is why VMRO-DPMNE sent a request to Prime Minister Kovacevski in April to appear before the Foreign Affairs Committee and submit the draft documents that the Government of Macedonia is negotiating with official Sofia, so that in a joint and inclusive process to consider these issues that are important in the Macedonian-Bulgarian relations, and are also important for European integration, the party added.
