Regarding the announcements that Macedonia could get a date for the start of negotiations with the EU in at the EU summit on December 14, Aleksandar Nikoloski said on TV21 that it will not happen in December or January, despite the change of government in Bulgaria.
If you ask me if I want negotiations to start, I absolutely do and dream about it. But we have to look at things realistically. It would be nice to say that we start negotiations now in December, but I always try to be realistic. Many did not believe the spring of 2018 when I said that even if Zoran Zaev changes his name, he will not start negotiations with the EU, and while he is Prime Minister, Macedonia will not start negotiations. Unfortunately, I am right, because I want Macedonia to progress.
Unfortunately, Macedonia will not start negotiations in December and it will not start negotiations. Dimitrov’s comment that maybe in January is a funny thing. The whole EU is on holiday in January, and a skiing date might be obtained, not the start of negotiations. It is known when decisions are made. There’s possibility in December, March and June. Everything else is lying to the people. I am convinced that Macedonia will not start negotiations in December, which will break the last bubble for Zoran Zaev to stay in power, said Nikoloski, who said that Bulgaria is a serious problem, but the biggest problem is that things do not work in Macedonia.
