Journalist Branko Geroski write late Tuesday on Facebook that there were indications that the tender for the Gjorce Petrov Clinical Center had already been agreed and awarded to a renown Austrian firm, which has been in the business for 33 years.
Unofficially I learned that today, on the way to Brussels, where the issue of the date for EU negotiations is discussed, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, accompanied by Health Minister Venko Filipce, will stay in Vienna for some time (and Filipce will stay there if my info is accurate). I ask, does Zaev’s stay have anything to do with the potential winner of the tender for the Clinical Center worth 500 million euros? Is it true that it was a public secret that the tender would almost certainly be awarded to the Austrian company “Vamed”, intensively present in the Balkans with projects in the Serb part of BiH and in Serbia? Moreover, I read that there is nothing controversial in the portfolio of this company – 33 years old, has implemented 700 projects in 72 countries, employs 16,000 workers and has annual turnover of 1.5 billion euros. However, the tender is in question. How is it possible to know in advance who will win it? If that’s true … I am just asking, Geroski wrote in his Facebook post.
