During his visit to Kosovo, where he attended the opening of a highway from Pristina to the Blace border crossing with Macedonia, Zoran Zaev promised to build the stretch of highway from Skopje to the border.

This would connect Pristina and Skopje with a highway link. Zaev joined the leaders of Kosovo for the opening ceremony, where he made a promise.

The opening of the Arben Xhaferi highway motivates us to speed up work on our end. We will soon begin a public bid for the 14 kilometers stretch to the border, Zaev said.

Under his watch, construction of the on-going highway projects in Macedonia ground to a half, and no new work has begun.
